Long Beach Gran Prix 2014: Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge

As apart of the Long Beach Gran Prix experience, Friday and Saturday nights are filled with smoking tires on the a portion of the course during the Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge. Many drivers from the Formula Drift series also participate in this event and compete for prize money. The course follows the same layout as the Formula Drift course the weekend before so it’s almost the same thing.

I wasn’t really sure how they were running the drifting parts because they had tandem runs and then went to only solo runs which weren’t have fun to watch. We ended up not staying the entire time since they were running late and the solo runs did get tiresome to watch.
