More at Anime Expo.
This is the second year they brought out these awesome displays for the Gundamn booth. I personally think giant robots are cool, but the actually Gundamn anime is absolute crap. Not mecha anime in general, but gundam specifically. I watch about half of Gundam Wing which was so ranted and raved about and stopped because the show was going no where. Code Geass, Full Metal Panic, and Vandred are to my liking since they provide something beyond just robots fighting.
Code Geass
I haven’t watched One Piece since episode 1. Not going to continue either. If they haven’t found the treasure after 400-500 episodes, they need to stop.
Let’s take a break from all the robots.
Interesting fighting they introduced called “Skull Girls”
This set of figures is pretty cool. The bikes and the figures can come apart and combine in different combinations. Not a particulary popular item, but the idea is cool.
Cat Shit One. This is a awesome show. Its like playing Counter Strike with rabbits. Thing that bugged me was that they were only selling the first episode on DVD or Blu-ray for the price of full seasons other shows. Its been months since the episode came out. Why can’t they just finish the damn thing before selling us some incomplete item?
Companion Cube plushies.
This stupid Cat Coin bank sold out at the show. It’s just a box where you press down on the button and a cat would take whatever you left on the button.
Epic Saber (Fate Stay Night) figure
Pretty good quality Dark Magician Girl figure
Ritsu from K-ON figure
Vivio from Nanoha Strikers
Tons of Miku stuff
Miku Nendoroid and a Hinagiku (Hayate no Goku) Nendoroid
Lucky Star set
Grabbing some free Pocky
Black Rock Shooter. A cool character with a really half assed anime. Good art, good sound, and good plot. Execution = 100% failure
I don’t really play trading card games anymore, but I still love the art work they put on deck boxes and card sleeves.
In the tabletop gaming room. A couple of my friends still play Magic: The Gathering, so we played a couple rounds of this simply fun game we picked up in the exhibit hall called “Whack a Cat Girl”.
After the con, we headed down the street to check out The Pantry.
Steak looked good
I had a ham and cheese omelette which was overwhelmingly cheesy.
Some glorious pancakes.
Over in the Little Tokyo getting some curry and ramen
A bit of anime flair for Anime Expo weekend
On the way back to San Diego, we grabbed some food over in Industry.
Stopped over at Boston Cafe
