End of the Year Cars and Tea Meet

Words by Tim Wong

On Sunday night, the Official Pre-AutoCon End of Year – Cars & Tea Meet at Cha for Tea in Alhambra was hosted by DTM Autobody & AutoCon Events. The meet was supposed to start at 7PM and I was still sitting at home which was a 40 minute drive away. I didn’t particularly want to go to a “pre” meet mostly because I’ll probably see the same cars at the actual event and the factors of time, money, and weather made me feel like staying home and just work on pictures I had already taken over the weekend. As you can see, I ended up going out there in the end, but usually once I get out there, I just starting shooting.

First car I noticed was this little Herbie Beetle.

Nuisance Mazda RX-7. Pretty good looking street car and I’m liking that painted tire walls.

Interesting 350Z. I don’t know if I’d say I’d like it, there’s a bit too much going on with it.

A couple of good looking Acura RSXs

Matte Purple BMW 3-series. It’s definitely different, but different isn’t always good. The purple wrap is cool and looks good, but I don’t think it works well with a BMW.

Honda Civic with a JDM rear conversion.

Nissan 240SX S14 with some pretty aggressive body work which looks pretty good.

A pair of Honda Civic wagons

Acura NSX sitting on a set of Volk TE37s.

This Porsche GTS-4 was pretty loud when it was rolling it.

Lexus IS300 with a set of Regamaster Evos. Not a combination I see too often.
