Let’s keep the new content rolling in. Moving to part two!
DC displaying the huge banners as usual.
Kotobukiya booth brought out some of their anime styled figures of American popular culture characters. They are very nicely done, but the price tag is a bit higher than I’d like. They range around $50 or so each.
There was a replica of the Delorean from Back to the Future. Funny thing was, the actual car from the movie was also there at another booth. And ironically, this was a better representation since the “real” one had some things changed which was a stupid thing to do.
Young Justice display
Looks like they decided to bring the Optimus Prime statute from last year inside of the exhibit hall this year.
Some figures at the Square Enix booth. This year Square Enix have a lot less content from usual. Its usually a large space for figure displays and a line to buy them, but much of the booth this year was dedicated to game demos.
I still believe Square Enix should stop making games and start making movies. The main attraction to Square Enix has always been their beautiful artwork, the story and the music. They still have it, but the gameplay has gone downhill. The storylines have somewhat weaken and simplified since they try too hard. If you strip away all the crap they over think, the stories have become really basic and dull.
Pretty good Power Rangers cosplay. Not sure which series, since its been a long time since I’ve seen anything from the Power Rangers franchise.
Adorable renditions of Disney characters. Surprisingly these were official Disney products.
Chibi Yugioh figure set.
This was probably one of the best cosplays I’ve seen in a long time, just because its not that hard to do, but almost never done.
Epic Guile and Cammy sculptures
Snapped this walking by the Kotobukiya booth again.
These are called Air Swimmers. They “swim” through indoor environments by remote control. According to one of the demonstrators, these were set to launch a couple weeks later which I assume would be out now and retail around $40-50.
I found this Kenpachi (Bleach) to be rather nicely done.
These fat round renditions of animals were incredibly cute, but retailed for $20-50 depending on size.
Hello Kitty hat.
Getting through all this con coverage fast, only to have more events posted. More stuff tomorrow.
