Final bit of coverage for Eibach 2011. Sorry for the delay – the last part of this week has been crazy, not to mention the on-and-off migraines I’ve been getting have been shutting me down. Anyways, on to the pics…
Back at the entrance, we saw this retro Mazda RX-2 rolling in…don’t think I’ve ever seen one in person…
Love 90s bikes. This guy is having fun on a Yamaha YSR, in it’s factory color scheme…not sure of the year but its the smallest cc, I know that for sure!
Only got a glimpse of this simple EG, but it had a full SiR-S interior.
96-spec hatchback “SiR” heading out. Its always nice to 96-98 Civics rather than all 99-00…
Beautiful red Integra with JDM front end…
Tim’s EF 35mm L, with an amazing 1.4 f-stop. Several of these pics were taken with it (the ones with incredible amount of depth…haha).
Back up in the Eibach parking lot, cars from this morning began heading out. Likewise, some cars were still rolling in.
Official J’s Racing Integra, equipped with a B-series, was running the circuits when I was still just a kid. It is on the cover of the latest Honda Tuning issue – apparently this was on display back in Japan and they imported it to the US, “as-is”. Incredible car.
Fully-fabricated race dash…look at that prehistoric racing meter! Must have been cutting-edge a little over a decade ago…
NA1 NSX…I don’t know why this person would rather be driving a CRX…
I loved this Integra. Next to SW388s, silver Regamaster Evo’s are one of my favorite wheels made by Desmond. Yes, I know they are essentially the same..haha…I just like the design I guess…
…here’s the interior. Notice the fitted gauge pods where the clock usually goes…
Had to grab another Mugen MF-10 shot…
Spotted another 96-spec build. Love it!
Great-looking bay. Mild wire tuck with Rywire harness…
Another NSX, this one blue…and supercharged…
I saw this car last year as well…fully Spoon’d from top-to-bottom. Pretty much a mirror image of the 99-00 bay from the Spoon catalog:
This car was also running some beefy rotors and silver Regamasters…
Here’s a part that’s becoming a rare sight these days…the ARC panel air cleaner, combined with the even rarer ARC intake elbow and couplers. Definitely a great addition.
F22…with an interesting strut tower bar I’ve never seen before…
This build is on its way, but you can tell there were some unfinished spots…the framework for the JDM front end needs to be finished, and, though I could really care less about wire tucks, a bit of organization in the engine bay wouldn’t hurt.
Simple and refreshing RSX Type S on Enkei RPF01s…
Love this Type R. Looks like something straight out of Best Motoring.
Here’s a closeup of those Denji headlamps that I posted in part one.
As we made our way around the back side for a final time, we laid our eyes upon this work of art. Turbo K-powered drag car with all the custom wiring and fabrication you could imagine. Notice the panel for the oil lines in the lower right, the coolant overflow in the lower left, MSD ignition coils, custom shorty exhaust with per-cylinder monitored O2 sensors, oh yeah…and that huge-ass turbo. Such an awe-inspiring build.
TSX with the Euro headlamp housings. I love the crystal blue accent where on our US models, it’s normally amber…
Caught this CRX on my way out…
…and this J’s Racing TSX Euro R.
Tim and Tony discussing nuclear physics…or something…
At this point a lot of cars were leaving, and although we knew more cars would be rolling through that we’d miss, we decided to head out. This Integra caught my eye at the gate.
…Tim grabbing some last minute shots at the gate.
Cops directing traffic along Mariah Circle…
And, with that, Eibach 2011 is in the books…another great meet with the best-of-the-best cars. Like always, its cool to see new up-and-coming builds and to be assured that the scene is always changing, and I think Eibach does just that. It shows us, the Honda community, that the people, industry, cars, and visions of perfection are constantly changing. Now that we’ve made it past the alleged rapture of May 21st, I guess we can count on seeing everyone at Eibach 2012 next year, around the same date. Already looking forward to it.
I’ll leave you guys with another pro wheel shot from Tim (with yet another Spoon caliper, haha):
See you around!
– Matt
