Last Saturday before AutoCon, Matt and I met up at Cars and Coffee Irvine for a nice dose of rare cars. It has been a little while since I went to Cars and Coffee, but it is definitely a good weekly meet to attend. As usual, there was good mix of everything. I did not know about this beforehand, but GReddy brought out their Scion FRS along with a couple of the original AE86s.
Although I have lost any liking for the Scion FRS since its release, GReddy’s modified version looks like a slight improvement.
GReddy fitted their brakes and a set of Rays wheels.
The “86” badge.
The rear end just looks terrible, but you can see GReddy fitted an exhaust to it. Here’s a video of how it sounds. I’m not particularly impressed, if not disappointed that it doesn’t have the infamous Subaru rumble.
A pair of Porsches outfitted for track use.
A view into the insane track oriented driver’s compartment.
Interesting exhaust setup
A classic BMW 3.0 CSi. It is such a beautiful car.
This is one car I didn’t expect to see. Everyone has seen the Ultima GTR, this is the Ultima Can-Am. The Ultima Can-Am is essentially a drop top version of the Ultima GTR.
A nice view of the powerhouse sitting in the rear of the car.
Tight fit in the driver’s seat
Simple and properly modified NA Miata sitting on a set of bronze RPF1s.
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggeras always look good.
Mercedes 600 limo. The Mercedes 600 has always been one of my favorite Mercedes because it is like the epitome of luxury and class. All the cleverness in designing the car is something you don’t really see anymore.
Audi R8s are already great looking cars from the factory, but modified versions have usually been really nice too see. This one in particularly has a cool choice in wheels.
Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Series. Mercedes are great, AMG is better, and Black Series is the best.
Aggressively kitted Volkswagen GTI with some ABD Racing products.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0
Absolutely love this deep and rich blue on this NSX. NSX is one of the couple cars I find pretty close to prefect from the factory.
Another NSX with a couple of nice modifications.
Lotus Exige
While leaving I caught some shots of cars rolling out.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 rolling out.
That is going to be it from Cars and Coffee, but as usual, we’ll be upload extra pictures onto our page so be sure to check them out!
