Hope everyone had a good Wednesday. Just continuing the coverage from last weekend’s event…
This sea green Evo X ( as seen from our Wekfest LA coverage ) would be another contender for one of my favorite builds. It’s just aggressive looking – plain and simple – I can’t put it any other way. I guess Evo 10’s naturally look that way with the “angry” shape, but the body lines…the Voltex wing and CF hood…the lip and canards..everything just flows so well. The green/gold/black theme is mellow but it still stands out.
I didn’t get a chance to check out the interior at Wekfest, so I scoped it out this time. Full roll cage, CF door panels+console, Bride seats and floor plates…just awesome! I love the gauge pods too.
…and here’s a closeup of the wheel/tire/brake setup. Wedsport SA-55M on Advan Neova AD08s, in front of BIG Project Mu’s…
There were quite a few cars in this style at EAF. I suppose you would call it “going all-out” because some of these builds were just astonishing ( see below ). This particular Camaro caught Tim and I’s attention…the pearly red paint had a red-orange sheen in the light and was pure candy-apple in the shadows…it looked absolutely perfect…
Moving on to something a bit more, “custom”…
The Team Noctural “Noktastrophe” is pretty much as all-out as you can get on a truck.
Nothing too special here…I just have a thing for the new 4-door WRX…haha…
There were also a lot of low riders and hoppers around…
Great work, unfortunately the mini-me is an Escalade and not an Expedition…and I saw it a lot at the show, but I’m still not quite sure I understand the poly-fil in the wheel wells and engine bays…?
After circling back around, we came across this beauty…
Mustang 5.0…never used to like that glossy blue but now I’m warming up to it…
Old Chevy pickup…love the red on the wheels…
Awesome M-brakes and HRE wheels…
Still scratching my head on this theme…
This is a classic Skyline we see frequently here in socal…notice the “California Historical Vehicle” plates. This is the second time I’ve seen these, the first being on the Audi Quattro I spotted at Cars & Coffee a few months ago…I wonder if I can get those plates for my Civic?
**
RSX and FD with a HUGE widebody…
That’s it for today. Will cover more ground tomorrow…and of course Gymkhana photos coming down the pipeline…stay tuned!
Thanks for looking!
