From Japan

Overnighted. Haha. Not really. Something I imported over a couple weeks ago. Collectibles always cost a fortune.

Its a limited edition copy of the Haruhi Chan manga volume 3 that comes with a figure. Retail is $16 or so…I paid maybe…3-4 times that value since we don’t get any cool stuff over here. And its supa rare. XP

Here’s that manga….that I will never read.

And finally the mostly Kawaii~ figure ever.

And some Tea Station. XP

ninkyo dantai

Went out and tried to do a yakuza style shoot. Will have more pics later. Went a little crazy with the green. Matrix yo.

Looks too fake. needs work.

Normal coloring.

Then the green.

Eden of the East 2

Yay. The first was was already amazing, can’t wait to see the new one.

Little Tokyo

This is a couple weeks old, but I was over in Little Tokyo checking out Anime Jungle. Walked around for a bit with some friends who had never been. Excuse the crappy cell phone camera pictures.

Yes, a Hello Kitty crane machine.

Order some Onigiri (御握り; おにぎり), also known as omusubi (御結び; おむすび) or rice ball, at a ramen shop just to try it out.

And of course. Some ramen.

Julian+Palomar Moutain with C4

Saturday, I went out for a little touge cruise with C4 (Cali Coalition Car Club) throught Julian and Palomar Mountain. It was fun. Some rain and some snow.

Nastie Garage / Caliluv

Went over to Nastie Garage yesterday to chill and check out some cars. Cars were cool even though I was lazy and didn’t take many pictures. It was more of a hang out day for me.

As you can see the turn out was good.

Hatch Ball

Last Saturday, I went up to LA to check out the Hatch Ball meet at Super Auto Toys (again…). I wasn’t expecting much since it was an auto toys meet, but man was it dead. I rolled in an hour late and there was less then 20 cars there. I walked around a bit; more cars rolled in and more cars rolled out. It wasn’t because nobody showed up, it more like no one wanted to stick around because there was nothing to do. I filled up a couple hours shoot cars, then started doing rolling shots. I walked around the store for a bit even though there’s nothing to look at. At some point, I even left with some friends and went to Huntington Beach to take pictures and walk around (I have pictures of that too, I’ll post later).

So here we are.

Man, I thought this guy might have been JDM EGO since he was rocking a bunch of stickers and illest plates. The Evo IX even looks like it with the ARC intercooler and the Voltex wing just lacking some stickers and splitters.

Oh and Panda rolled through with his Evo buddies after they went to Cars and Coffee. I have no idea why anyone would even want to go to Super Auto Toys. I wish I went to Cars and Coffee instead.

KMH BBQ: Part Three

I literally spent the day working on computers. I got home from classes and my laptop died…I was like “Srsly? Isn’t life going down the drain already, but even more crap dying on me.” Lucky me the hard drive I ordered arrived early and I got straight to work. After actually getting everything to work and all the bs I had to deal with, I could find the bloody updates for stuff. And here we are, finally getting to work. I’ll be posting tons of content this weekend.

KMH BBQ: Part Two

Sorry about the long and dreadful backup pictures. Computer was down and still down. For now, I uploaded some half edited pictures. CS3 on my laptop is not nearly as good as CS3 on my desktop. I spent the week working on fixing the hard drive which is now dead. I need to salvage all my data out of it and I have a new hard drive coming in on Monday. Then I’ll reinstall everything and get to work on pictures at maximum speed. I’ve been shooting and covering events all week, but with nothing to edit with. I pretty much lost everything on that hard drive; logos, pictures, designs…etc.

This pictures are really not up to my standard, but I did what I could on this pos laptop. I’m saving all the rolling shots for when my computer is up again.

E30

Man, stuff has been backed up all week. Computer has been down which means no editing. I’ve been shooting all week and all I can do is load them on the laptop and go shoot some more. I still have over 100 pictures on the KMH BBQ which will have first priority in editing, then the rest of the week of shooting for people and gigs. For now enjoy a little something I did tonight.

I went out and shot green4door’s E30. I was going to do some strobing, but the battery went unexpectedly dead. I’m assuming I accidently switched it on last night or something because I didn’t do much strobing yesterday and it should still have plenty of juice in it, but whatever. We just went and did it the old school way.

update 02082010

Haven’t had much to upload since my desktop is down…for about a week now. Working on getting that back up and working off my laptop now. I just installed photoshop so hopefully I get the rest of the pictures plus more up as soon as I can.

KMH BBQ: Part One

Lots of pictures and not enough time. Busy busy these days and I’ll post some everyday. It was a huge turn out and a good time. Enjoy.

This was actually written some time ago. I just didn’t have time or the effort to post it up. Its what I have done before my computer crapped out on me.

fallen friend

I will not be posting anything today or possibly for a little while. Some time on Sunday my dog had fallen ill with something unknown and could not get up. Didn’t eat or drink too much. As time progressed he got worse and worse. At some point, I realized he was blind and crippled. I would have taken him to the Vet asap, but they were closed and I could not take him until today. I had to pick him up into a stretcher to bring him into the office, when they finally took a look at him, the results were not good. His rear legs have no reaction or reflexes, he had no sight, not even reaction to light, and they think the issue was in the brain. If they were to treat it, they would have to run tests (MRI, CT…etc) and all sorts of stuff. They said German Shepards could live up to 13 years or so. I’ve had him for 12 years and if it was cancer, chemo would last for two years or more. Possibility of him recovering his rear legs were extremely low because 24 hours had past since he lost them. In any sense, it was not reasonable to put him through the strain and suffering. Alas, I spent a couple hours with him and my mom and aunt came to see him before we had to put him down. It was sad, but even sadder when my mom started to reminiscence. I’m still young, but I never have I been so sad before in my life.

RIP my old friend.
