Last weekend, Tim and I returned to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana for the I Heart Honda Festival, put on by Spoon Sports. It’s been five years since this event was the last put on, so it was great to see it revived with a really great turnout.
As expected, there was no shortage of Civic Type Rs to look at – even sorted by color like a dealership.
Nice and simple EF Civic with Js lip and hood…
This NA2 NSX, in this exact color (Long Beach Blue Pearl), is pretty close to personal perfection and is high on my list of desired cars. The color just suits it so well.
Loi Spec Integras making their way out…
Loved this K-swapped EK with ITBs…
Pristine DA Integras…
This FK8 was custom painted the same yellow as its Type-R predecessors. While said to be a factory option in the future, as of now this is the only Phoenix Yellow FK8 out there – probably because getting a respray after buying a brand new car (with an already perfect paint job) is rather expensive, but it is nice to look at…
This event was hosted by Spoon Sports, and there was plenty to take in for any Spoon fan. Spoon founder Tatsuru Ichishima made an appearance and signed autographs, alongside several of their race cars. There were also plenty of parts and accessories available for sale, and some gorgeous Spoon builds to look at…
A happy S2000 with plenty of sleek aero and a massive wing.
A 97 ITR – my personal favorite – with a custom turn down exhaust and TE37s…
A spectacle of any Honda event, Phil Robles’ EG6 is an achievement of aesthetics with a purpose that is constantly evolving year over year.
The Regamaster Evo IIs looked right at home on Phil’s prized Honda racer.
That’s wraps up our time at the I Heart Honda Festival. Thanks for viewing!
