With the HRE Open House coverage in the books, I will quickly finish up the Wekfest LA coverage between today and tomorrow.
…If you recall, we were somewhere in the middle of the crowd trying to take pictures. A nuisance, because some people wouldn’t move, some people were ignoring us, and other photographers were cramping our style. Tim went in with his 35mm and I used the 10-22mm wide-angle, thinking I would get better shots being in front of everybody else but I was really just being lazy haha. The sun was beaming down on us so we tried to be as “efficient” as possible while fighting the crowds.
Onto the pics…
I’m not normally Cobalt fan, but this one SS really impressed me. Jackson supercharged, fully redone interior…just overall a solid build. I’m curious to see what direction its gonna go next.
Cool little Datsun truck…
…with a more than adequate engine setup.
NSX with an assumed Veilside Fortune body kit. I don’t know enough about the kit itself to make any judgements, and I don’t want to call anyone out, but it does appear to be real based on some comparisons. I think it flows well, but the whole car looks more like the Veilside RX-7 from Tokyo Drift. Haha…
Phaze2 xB and NSX…
Loved this black S2000 on flat gold BBS wheels. The contrast is awesome.
Local San Diego guy, Jon, owns this aqua-colored Z. We have been watching this build and it was great to see it in person. He also won Best Z car at the event.
Saw this hatchback at Autocon a while back. The lip is just perfect…
Couple mild CRXs. The blue one had a BAR sticker affixed to the shock tower…bravo! As always, love Regamaster Evos.
…A shot of the Bar’d CRX engine bay. Take notes…
Here’s a prime example of me abusing the 10mm. I started shooting the cars in pairs as soon as people cleared the way…sorry that these beautiful S2000s look like they could fit straight-8 engines in them…
Tim and I love this S14. Nothing too special at first…
…but an LS1 always helps.
Some more S2000s.
This one had two different pairs of orange Volk wheels…I like it.
Couple famous Civics, one from ICB’s team (left) and DPK David (right).
Several MFEST-branded BMWs were in attendance.
I missed this SC, but Tim grabbed a shot. Looks perfect! The wheels fit properly, and still has that VIP look without the slammage and stretch-age…just gorgeous!
The popular air force-themed M3, as seen in a few previous events.
We took a quick break and I snapped a couple shots of the harbor area…
Here’s another.
With that, I will begin working on the third and final part and update as soon as it’s finished. Stay tuned…!
