This is Odawara Castle in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan
On the grounds, they had a cage full of monkeys.

This would be my traditional style Japanese hotel room for the night. It was an “onsen” resort (hot springs/bath). Everything was done is a traditional format which was fun and interesting to experience.
The hotel was pretty nice, especially since the ocean was literally right next to the hotel.
Only thing modern in the room was one of those fancy Japanese toilets that spray water up your butt.
Even I thought this was pretty clever. When you flush, the fresh water comes from the pipes into a sink where you can rinse your hands which then drains into the toilet. Obviously, there is a normal sink to wash your hands in the washroom.

Dinner. Again in the traditional style. Somewhat reminiscent to a Yakuza style dining hall.
I actually rather enjoyed my stay there.
Woke up a 4AM, just in time to see the sun rise.
