Another year at the annual Japanese Classic Car Show(JCCS) taking place at the Long Beach Marina. I usually try to make this event every year and have photos on here as far back as 2011 when it was still at the Queen Mary. As the event is also run by the same people who do Toyotafest(TORC), I usually try to do both, but missed out this year. As with most car events, it’s a nice time to meet up with people while checking out some cool cars every year.

One of the more unique vehicles at the show was this Lexus built EV AE86.
They made an effort to retain the characteristics of the original car such as keeping it manual and similar weight distribution.
In the back you find the EV batteries which takes up most of the trunk space.
They used at 6 speed transmission from the GT86.
As point that they could build a car as such is cool, but realistically, it’s impractical with a range of 60 miles. I think it would have made sense to have some sacrifices to make it more reasonable.
Thanks for looking.
