Just some various shots of the “Gymkhana” event at Extreme Autofest. I put Gymkhana in “quotes” because, if it was actually a Gymkhana event, it was on the weaker side. The course was one donut and a sweeping loop back, similar to last year’s drift event. But, the drivers looked like they were having a lot of fun nonetheless. I’ll let the pics do the talking… this will wrap up the coverage…enjoy…
There were a couple Honda Fits out there, which is cool, but of course they both had difficulty getting the back end around. “Aggressive autocross” is about as far as it went with these cars.
Buddy Club’s time-attacker Fit made an apperance. I may stand corrected, and I don’t know what adjustments they made (if any), but I assumed this car was built to stay glued to the surface at all times and that’s exactly what it did…
My ears are still ringing from this serious-duty Miata with Shelby Cobra style exit pipes…this driver was just tearing it up…

Lost in the smoke…
Tim should have some special coverage of another San Diego event coming soon, so stay tuned and thanks for reading!
