Nisei Coverage: Part Three
More and more still coming.

Yes that would be a twin turbo.

Tons more to go.
Nisei Coverage: Part Two
Alright, part two. Let’s get it going.

Part: Three coming soon.
Also, direct yourself over to the TAMA Studios link, because that it all finished.
Nisei 2009: Part One
Yay Nisei! From what I hear, its one of the top import car shows here. And rumors its the last one.
From what I saw today, its was pretty good. I didn’t feel like I waste my time or money.

No surprise. An Insight. Bound to happen.

This is one sick wagon. Definitely one of my favorites at the show.

Hello Kitty. Lol.

Nice CTR

The legendary NSX featured on The Chronicles

Joey Lee’s car. Finally been moved. Lol.

More…LOTS MORE. Got home and found out I took over 300 pictures…editing hell.
Commission Shoot with Wannabeser and Panda
Got a crap load of PMs about commission work. Tonight was pretty fun. I always hear people tell me how their car isn’t good enough to be photograph, but I always tell them it doesn’t matter what your car is or what it looks like. I will MAKE it look good. And tonight I have proved it with Wannabeser’s G20.

You know, I absolutely HATE these wheel/headlight shots. I think they are completely stupid and pointless, but everyone loves them. Its just a new way to be a wheel whore. Idk. W/e.
This is my shot of the night. Click it. It get larger. This pretty much just MADE the shoot tonight.
So then Wannabeser and I just hung around until Panda finally got his slow Evo out. Its slow because we were there for 2 hours until he showed up. XP

That’s it for tonight. I have another shoot going down this week and Nisei is this Saturday apparently. XP
Mike Burroughs arrives in San Diego
Big treat for tonight. I met Mike Burroughs. The legend himself. His skills are unbelieveable. Even after a incredibly tiring drive, he still managed to impress without disappointment. Not only was he a cool guy, but his car was just simply put: bad ass. I mean like the more damage it got the sicker it looked. I’m so glad I made out to meet and greet him.

This thing came in with its hood attached to it home made roof rack. I’m assuming because of the AZ heat and he didn’t want to over heat.

It came towing all the stuff and equipment on a trailer. The trailer even had BBS. Its was wayy cool.

Cracked windshield which apparently was caused by his friend who ran it into a semi. Regardless, it just made is looked even more bad ass than it already was.
Those wheels probably cost more than the car.

According to Mike, the car was rusted to seven months. Man does it look good.

The exhaust came of the bottom of the right side rear passenger door. Crazy.
One of the cars that came out to the shoot. Click it, it gets bigger.

David being a punk and wanted me to take his picture. XP
Southpaw Host Shoot
So tonight I went to Southpaw’s shoot to show some support and what not. It was pretty good, hung out, had some food, then took a couple of shots. Parking garage went pretty well, and then we headed over to our second location where we were asked to leave by some random passing by cop. The guy was a complete douche. Stereotyping us and our cars. W/e. We all left ok without and issues.

Whored out my car for a few test photos. It was sooo dirty. Due that water conservation thing, I haven’t washed in a month.

Probably one of my favorite shots of the night. Probably because I finally got around to using that flash I got from way back when.

Fit w/ meshies. XP

The Fit got all the love tonight.

Random shot of the Accord.
Costco is full of idiots
I just got a called from one of my buddies. A few weeks back, I went over to his place and took a couple snapshots of his kids. He wanted to make one of those announcement cards to send out of his new born daughter. So I took a couple B&Ws, headed home, edited them, and then a week or so later, I gave him a disc of all the photos. So today, I get a called from him saying that when went to Costco to get them printed out, Costco said they couldn’t release them because they were “too high end” and “taken in a studio” and required “permission to release them”. I’ve never heard such bs in my life. They even threaten to take legal action against my paying customers. I should head over there and put them in their place. Who hell are you to tell my customers they can’t print MY pictures that I took for THEM. Idiots. Why don’t you take you photo processing, minimum waged, attitude to someone who you might even POSSIBLY stand a chance of winning against. Come on, sue them I CHALLENGE you to do so. Because if I, the photographer, am on THEIR side, you don’t stand a chance of winning. What’s more is, I can probably counter sue you for wasting my time with your idiocracy and I’ll make some money from it. So in the end, I’m probably going to print out the pictures for them.
Update 073009
Working on a couple of projects now. Getting started on my rear bumper, sketching for my art book, redecorating my room for a submission to Otacool, and working on some new ideas for photo.
In other news, I randomly made a banner/signature thing.

And I think I’m getting sick. Blech. Over worked maybe?
Night Shoot
Randomly went out for a shoot tonight. Last minute thing. Gota few pics, but mostly just hung out.

That would a Hyundai Tiburon. Not a Supra.

Post Comic Con
Finally back to SD. Time for some post Con. I spent around $500 this year at Con. After scouring the exhibit well over 100 times, buying entire cases of blind boxes and then attacking the restocks, buying the high quality figures, salvaging every sale, I still could not find everything I wanted. So most of the stuff I actually did buy were just because I was bored and had money. You know its bad when you get bored and starting thinking, “I have money….they have stuff…” Anyways, here’s my haul this year. Obviously, I didn’t get too much free stuff because I didn’t want to stand in any lines, fight through crowds or anything I deemed unnecessary. We all know we never use that free crap anyways.

Obviously, not ALL of them were from Con. Just a couple…most of them XD

San Diego Comic Con International 2009: Sunday
Whew. Last of Comic Con is over. I was pretty disappointed in Comic Con this year, but what can you do. Here’s the last day, and after I get around to it, probably Tuesday when I get back from LA, I’ll have a post Con entry containing the aftermath, and the merchandise haul I brought this year. Probably racked up around $500 or so. Would have bought more if there were more of the stuff I was looking for. Mostly started just buying stuff because I was bored and had money.

Kotobukiya’s R2. kotobukiya is awesome btw. Love their stuff.

What’s a timscribbles post without a car?…a nerd post…that’s what it would be. XP

Con is over and the Heroes Cubes are still roaming around. I’ll post up what I got from Con this year on Tuesday.
San Diego Comic Con International 2009: Saturday
Normally you think Saturday would be the BIG day and all, but meh. Its wasn’t much different from the other days. The wear and tear from the other days have it effects on my body already, but you suck it up and tear through it all.

Looking at the custom mighty muggs. I thought this one was pretty cool.

They’reeee traps! XD

Must have…

Leaving Con, entering hell.

I just happened to walk by it.
More tomorrow.
San Diego Comic Con International: Friday
Welcome to day 2 of Comic Con! Today I went with some friends who happen to cosplay…somewhat well too.

Getting tickets for the noobs who didn’t get 4 day passes. XP

After they got their tickets, we stood waiting for the Con to open. Looking out at the Art Show.

Waiting outside at Weapons Check because bringing a giant wood shuriken is dangerous.

Figuring out what to do after weapons check said she couldn’t bring it in.

Soul Eater cosplay looking at Soul Eater art

By the way, we brought the shuriken in anyways. XP

Isn’t that just awesome?

Left 4 Dead Cosplay. TANK!!!

Sooo walking through the exhibit hall with a giant blade of death over your head sounds like fun right?

Guess being immortal excludes me right?

Sooo we got kicked out for having the shuriken. So we switched her over to three pointy blades instead of 4.

“How are you supposed to hold these?”

I know what my next system will be.

Robert Englund Freddy in the flesh!!

Star Wars had one hell of a trailer. Old Republic. Go check out it out. Soo sick.

Robot Chicken

SF Figures. They were soooo bad. As in noooot good.

Fun way to end Con. We were just standing around checking out the stuff we got when two troopers came up one at a time and just staring over her shoulder. He even tapped her arm a few times. His head was like RIGHT there. LOL. We were just watching this happen laughing and she didn’t even notice him. XD
San Diego Comic Con International: Thursday

Parking obviously, wasn’t as great and easy as yesterday, but we found some. A good distance and its was $20, but at least we found some.

Red vs Blue of course.

Thursday was a bit more crowded.

We had the annual lunch at Nordstroms. Yes they have food there. REAL food.

Yeah the picture is terrible, but the food was good.

We had the best waitress ever. She got us refills accordingly, gave us extra water, and even got us Cokes to go. I didn’t even have to ask for anything. I gave her a 25% tip because she was awesome.

Heading back over to the scene

Lego models

DC booth, saw a friend working at Wildstorm as usual.

Lego booth

Viz Media. Speaking of which, I’m glad I’m a REAL nerd. I watch all the good shows before companies in the US decide to grab them up, DUB them, and ruin the show entirely. For example, I saw the grabbed up Kuroshitsuji and named it Black Butler. Ugh. Americans. I hate it even more when people ACTUALLY defend DUBs. They should be shot and killed. There are some DUBs that are ok, like Samurai Champloo, but does it really matter? Watch in Japanese. Can’t you read?

Fancy USB drives. Got one of these for my dad for his birthday yesterday.

Crazy right? And obviously not subliminal messaging Mattel…

Old School

The usual hype

Nerd Shoes

No idea what its from, but its sick.

Yeah man, I feel your pain…wait no I don’t. I’m professional. I don’t have to pay. XP Speaking of which, I still don’t get why no knows I get Pro every year. They are either shocked or mad for me being connected.

Tyrese Gibson was there promoting some comic I have never heard of.

Apparently some pop artist on Crunchyroll.com that I have also never heard of. Its was weird because she was kind of just standing around, and then music started playing, and she did a sort of stripper dance while lip syncing to her own song. No idea. I call it as I see it.

Taking a break….because my feet hurt and I was bored. Con isn’t too great this year even with the sold out tickets.

Can you spot the bird?

San Diego Comic Con Interation 2009: Preview Night
Alright! Comic Con International is finally here. I’ll be the first to give you the Con before anyone else. So link this to everyone!

Filling up the night before Con with the cheapest gas in town! XD

Waiting in line for the Professional/Industry Badge. Apparently there was NO LINE for the regulars. Ridiculous!

Taking in the city while waiting in line

Still waiting

After getting the badges and food…still waiting to get in

Still waiting XD

Almost there!! You the usually crowd around the door and intimidate the Elite guys so they’ll let us in early routine…surprisingly, it worked this time

First thing, went to the Snoopy/Peanuts booths and got something for my mom. Weird thing was that I actually started a rather large line behind me.

Slideshow finally got something Japanese.

It’s a TARP!

The “scene”

By the power of grey skull!

Awesome.

Now that I have actually seen FMA, I can somewhat appreciate it more, but still not that much.

YAY FF!!

Heroes, of course, speaking of which, I should catch up on the series, I completely stopped watching American television as of March 09.

I don’t know what they are, but they look funny.

Tokidoki is popular as ever. Damn them for being so big.

Past a good amount of time playing Tekken 6.

Capcom booth selling the highly sought after CC Exclusive fight stick and pads. Also demoing the Capcom vs Marvel 2 and Tsu-omething vs Capcom.

G4 booth as usual. Btw the AOTS(Attack of the Show) Trivia event at the booth is on Sunday at 1PM.

Pretty artsy wall

Square Enix for Life!

Two pictures for twice the awesomeness

Cough Nightmare rip cough

Linebarrels of Iron figures

Yoko Figure (I actually bought one, not specifically this one, but a Yoko figure in general)

Eva Gothic Lolita

Domo!!

Suguri. A game I’ve actually played. Completely random to see it here.

I really liked this piece. Pretty serious in getting it. Its priced at $325. Some idiot kid actually yelled out “That’s not worth $325!” His friend said “Yeah, its pretty worth it” and the kids like “UGH! OMG!” Seriously, this kid needs to learn some manners and stfu when no one asked his opinion. He actually looked upset when his friend disagreed with him. I’m pretty sure he was just trying to cover for it dumbass friend’s ass. White kids! XP

This bike!
Is made up of!

TWO PEOPLE!!

Heroes promoting crappy Nissans again. XP

LEAVING Con was a pain.

Until tomorrow!!!
San Diego Comic Con International 2009

Alright! Nerdfest 2009 is finally freaking here. I’m so excited! Are you ready for the biggest event all year? I’ll be there every single day covering the action and bringing every single day’s events to you on timscribbles.com. Busy busy time of the year.
JDM Unlimited Meet: Extra
Due to popular demand, I’ll post some more pictures. I didn’t know people liked this event so much.

JDM Unlimited 4th Annual Meet
Covered the JDM Unlimited Meet. It was a pretty good turn out. I wasn’t expecting too much, but it was pretty big. No cops bugged us, but people were being dumbasses as usual. Flying through the street as if they were only car there that could do that. “Ya bro, check out my VTEC! I bet no one has ever heard something as badass as VTEC!” And at usual, some moron flys out to the main road and floors its and a cop catches them, pops their hood, and they sit there embarrassed as usual. Other than that, free food, cool cars, fun times. Didn’t find anything AMAZING to take pictures of so I pretty much just hung out and chilled.

^^^Richzilla REQUESTED I shoot his car at least once.

That looked pretty good. The composition of the stickers wasn’t great, but I liked the concept.
Kiu Commission Shoot
Went out a bit later than I would have hope because I’m lazy and woke up at 9AM, but the shoot came out better than I thought. The unforgiving scorching sun was upon us, but it was worth it. Just posting up a few of the 70 shots I took.

071709 Shoot
Friday Afternoon Shoot, went out just to pass some time. I didn’t even bother cleaning the car up.

Inline4 Coverage July 12, 2009: Part Two

Twin headed Mini Cooper

Sick ass wheels
One of my more favorable shots of the day

Line Up

This valve cover was interesting.

I really liked the roof rack sticker idea.

Twin headed Mini Cooper again. See the girl looking at me taking the picture.
Inline4 Coverage July 12, 2009: Part One
Alright, after a full day yesterday I went home edited and upload photos. Just as I was about to crash, I was insisted to fill an empty spot on a team for Left 4 Dead. Even though I was tired as hell, I played and finally crashed at 2AM or so. Woke up at 6AM to my phone ringin gand got ready to head out to LA for the big meet. Apparently, we were the first ones there even though we were only 30 minutes early. They were not letting people in yet so we had to park outside on the curb and wait. 9AM was the roll in, but we didn’t roll in until like 9:40AM. Irritated, but whatever. So everyone rolled in and started to walk around. After a few hours, Garden Grove Police showed up and walked around and talked to the organizers and what not. After maybe 30 minutes, they left, however they returned after a hour or so and told Inline that they needed to shut it down. I was like “what the hell? shouldn’t they have a permit to do this? cuz if they don’t, that’s a lack of organization on their part.” Seriously, vendors and tuners came out to support this and you’d think they’d at least get the organizing correct. I was rather bored at the meet and just sat around and drank milk tea, but still. Anyways, here’s some of the pictures I took while I was there. Enjoy. By the way, since I’m not at home right now, I just used some random font instead of my neon logo watermark.
There’s darkstorm/fullcoupe and my car. Not gonna whore out my car since its really not that great and its rather pathetic to whore your own car.
I really liked the color on this Prelude. Deep and rich.
I thought this was pretty cool since you don’t really see too many RHD Preludes.
Couple of nice hatchies.
Mad JDM yo. Lol.
Enjoying the shade while it lasted. Then te sun came above us. Burning hot.
Ooo a racecar! XD
The sickest Element ever.
Spoon S2000
I am entitled to at least one wheel whore shot. XP
Nice little EF sitting there.
ITB woot!
The only thing I really liked was the Mugen Air Intake.
